Grandpa’s stew with Zlatiborac piquant sausage

Preparation: 1. Heat the oil in a cauldron or a deep pot. Fry beef cut into cubes, whole peppers and hot pepper in oil. When the meat is browned on all sides add finely chopped onions and carrots. Season everything with salt and braise the meat and vegetables for 45 minutes, occasionally stirring. If necessary, add some water to prevent the ingredients from burning.
2. Add peeled potatoes cut into chunks, finely chopped garlic, tomato juice and remaining spices. Top up with enough water to cover potatoes. Bring to the boil and then continue slowly cooking for 45 minutes. Cook over medium-high heat. If needed, top up with water.
3. Next, add Zlatiborac piquant sausage cut into pieces and mushrooms cut in half. Continue slow cooking for about ten more minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
